It's a good thing many of Barack Obama's supporters don't care much about issues, because their candidate has been changing his position on them with dizzying speed.
"Barack Obama aligned himself with welfare reform on Monday, launching a television ad which touts the way the overhaul 'slashed rolls by 80 percent,' " ABC News reported July 1. "Obama leaves out, however, that he was against the 1996 federal legislation which precipitated the caseload reduction."
When the Supreme Court overturned the District of Columbia ban on handgun ownership June 26, Mr. Obama said he supported the decision of the 5-4 majority. But last November he told the Chicago Tribune he thought the D.C. handgun ban was constitutional. While in the state legislature, he proposed legislation that would, in effect, have banned handguns in Illinois. ...
Campaigning in Ohio before the Democratic primary there, Mr. Obama said the North American Free Trade Agreement should be renegotiated. ...
No longer. In an interview with Nina Easton of Fortune magazine published June 18, Mr. Obama said he didn't want unilaterally to reopen negotiations on NAFTA. ...

I bet you Mr. Kelly got some ANGRY phone calls and emails after this piece!
but I'm glad someone is documenting this!
1Yeah really, well Liberty just posted something similar and of course she had to include McCain flips as well
Looking into them now lol
2It's been happening alot lately, or I've been noticing it alot lately that when something is posted in our group here it suddenly appears on citizen the next day, so of course my suspicious nature kicks in and wonders just how private it really is in here...
3well it's only private when we set the post to be private. so this one is public.
I think that being in politics for decades as opposed to a few years will mean there's a bigger repertoire of flops to find, but it seems a little unfair...
4Sy you are on the money. Still though I had to bring it up.
I do make something private only because I can call the comments that will be made if I dont and honestly I dont want to hear it.
I dont think the Sugar Staff robs my stuff, we just all read the same news lol
5that's true private post vs. private group. Still I can't help but wonder if they get the idea to post it from people who have posted in their groups first (so not just this group), although with these stories, I think they post them so they can put their liberal spin on them.
I guess I just don't think that the sugar staff is all that, for some reason I don't get a very professional feel from them, or an on the cutting edge type thing. And I don't even know if that's what their goal is, but it's entertaining so that's why I'm still here lol.
6Oh im sure they do. That is the whole reason for hearted links and bookmarks. Essentially we are all their research staff..
Welcome back btw!
7Kim, it has been like that since I started this group. They always use the Conservative sugar posts.
Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.
8I just noticed it but then again I'm fairly new to sugar and def. new to Conservative sugar.
I'm off now going to watch a movie with the children and have a picnic on the floor!!
9Often people don't vote for a bill because of its riders. Not everything is as black and white as Mr. Kelly thinks it is. I am very much about the issues. And so is Obama.
Also I appreciate a politician who is willing to alter his stance on an issue over time, because the world itself is not unchanging. Our current administration stays the course no matter how awful things have become (high unemployment, high gas prices, corruption, an unending bloody war, big brother spying on its own people, the uncompetitive dollar...etc. etc.)
(Is there a typo? The paragraph about banning handguns shows Obama's consistent support. He votes for the ban. He says the ban is constitutional. He wants to ban handguns in Illinois. His stance is entirely clear: Obama is against handguns. Mr. Kelly apparently needs a better editor. And a new brain.)
