This is public because I want people to see it!
I just read this piece about Joe from ABC News - http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/oh-that-joe--12.html
Some highlights:
- Speaking at a Democratic Fundraiser to lawyers: "We're going to need you going into election time, because we're going to mobilize thousands of lawyers to make sure they don't steal another election."
- "He's an honorable, decent man, but John McCain truly believes, truly believes that you are corporate America's problem," he said to the trial lawyers. "And thank God you are."
- Biden said that he's "done more than any other senator combined" for trial lawyers.
- "There are two people -- you've heard me say it before -- two groups that stand between us and the barbarians at the gate," Biden said. "It's you and organized labor. That's it. That is it. So, mark my words, mark my words, if we lose this election, you are going to continue to see a continuation of the onslaught on everything we care about. For real. For real. So, I'm not only thanking you for your help. I would think you're all absolutely brain-dead if you didn't help. And I mean it."
Cyberjammies
Soooooo the problem with America is that theres just not enough trial lawyers and labor unions... Its beautiful in its insanity.
1He truly is a goon.
2Oh, I have some stuff on Biden!
3I feel like there needs to be a Biden Gaffee counter... it seems like every time this guy opens his mouth, he steps in it!
4GS, spill. I think I know what it is. (Does it have to do with his meeting with Ahmadinejad, at the beginning of Sept.? )

Biden quoted as saying that Israel will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran
01/09/2008
Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was quoted Monday as telling senior Israeli officials behind closed doors that the Jewish state will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran.
In the unsourced report, Army Radio also quoted Biden as saying that he opposed “opening a additional military and diplomatic front.”
Biden, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has long been considered strongly pro-Israel. His nomination as Barack Obama’s running mate had been expected to shore up the Democrats’ strength with U.S. Jewish voters.
Army Radio said Israeli officials expressed “amazement” over the remarks attributed to him.
“Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran,” Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the unnamed officials.
“It’s doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front.”
Last year, in a widely quoted interview with year the Jewish American Shalom TV, Biden said, “I am a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist,” adding that “Israel is the single greatest strength that America has in the Middle East,” and that its presence as a strategic ally meant that America need station far fewer troops and warships in the region.

****btw., now, they're completely denying it.
6Just another piece of ammo to back up my conspiracy theory. Biden is on his way out. I should take bets on when the big "Biden is out, Hilary is in" speech will be made.
7Trixie, I feel that if your theory weren't true, they would have hidden him from the public eye by now.
8I think if that theory were true Hillary and Bill would be campaigning more overtly for Obama. Bill praised John McCain about his action in all of this mess. The Clintons have done everything short of endorsing McCain.
9Biden met with Georgia's president in private with only cameras allowed. The press and Dems think this is ok, but for Palin. Double standard anyone?
10Excellent point girlbassist.
11Hillary has done more campaigning for Obama than all the Democratic runner ups in the last forty years combined.
But yes they both (her and Bill) do praise McCain and his service to this country. I don't see how you couldn't. They are also quick to point out though that it's not that they don't like or respect him, it's that they completely disagree with his politics.
