Barak Obama releases the names of his Economic Team Tonight on Larry King Live at 9pm Eastern Time--- we shall see who he is surrounding himself with, and I will definately be checking out their records! Hopfully the old SOB who's doing it now WON'T be included!... his economic advisory team won't include a terrorist most likely, but maybe if he was more honest it would.... lol

His economic team has already been announced earlier to day. All in all not bad choices. No real far lefties in that group that I can see (There was on minor figure from kennedy office, but no a policy maker)
1OOh I missed it! I will have to google them now---

2justanerd, I missed it too! confess I was practicing avoidance today; reality is hard to face of late. Bail outs in the billion daily- one after the next. What does all this mean for us? Let's hope BOs economic team possesses a magic wand and a big wad of cash!
3awww Pam, *hugs*. I have those days,too....those weeks, or months sometimes too....lol
I just hope your referring to the state of our politics in America and not a personal tragedy! A big wad of cash and a magic wand--LOL! I agree, I think that's what they're
gonna need, for sure! Except we all know they don't have a magic wand and the cash wouldn't make it all go away anyways....

I don't think we should bail out the automobile industry big businesses, let them take a flogging if they're gonna get one. There are enough vehicles in the US new and old to last all of us for awhile; they are just worried about missing out on the $$$ to be made on making and selling all those new automobiles to those of us who need to have a new car every year or so to feel important and special
My Dad might be losing his 25 + yr. job at Ford helping build cars so I'm not going to be thrilled if they take it hard but I don't feel that bailing them out for their own dum mistakes is the answer-- let's spend that $$ on paying unemployment and for new training and education for all the people who lose their jobs instead

4Just because "The Big Three" declares bankruptcy does not mean they have to go out of business, what it does do is force labor and management to come together on what cuts they will have to make to keep the company solvent. Of course labor can take the hard line and force the companies out of business, but no union leader wants to lose all those perks they enjoy, at least as good as the heads of the companies.
5definitely the "state of politics" justa! Otherwise, I'm a very very optimistic fashionista! just want to be able to afford the fashion!
and Justa, totally agree about no bailouts. As you said Grandpa, they can do what everyone else does when their business isn't successful: reorganize under a Chapter and clean up their books, sharpen their products- get leaner!
