Isn't this what we anti-obama people said was a real possibility since his campaigne? That there is no way he can afford to do all he has promised without raising taxes on the middle class? I know I am shocked...How about you?

I know I have not been around for the last couple of months but I do have a good reason.
I have been sick for a while and now have a gallbadder problem, so I have not spent much time on-line. i have also been traveling back and forth to Nashville this summer for my midwife appointments.

NEW YORK (AP) ― Federal authorities are warning law enforcement personnel of a possible terror plot against the New York City subway system during the holiday season.
An internal memo obtained by The Associated Press says the FBI has received a "plausible but unsubstantiated" report that al Qaeda terrorists in late September may have discussed attacking the subway system.
The report indicates that al Qaeda terrorists "in late September may have discussed targeting transit systems in and around New York City.

Iraq confident Obama won't withdraw troops too quickly

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The Iraqi government is confident that president-elect Barack Obama will not jeopardize Iraq's improving security by hastily withdrawing U.S. troops, Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari said on Wednesday.
Obama has "reassured us that he would not take any drastic or dramatic decisions," Zebari told BBC television.

Face The State Staff Report
In a confidential internal memorandum obtained by Face The State (PDF), the Colorado Democracy Alliance outlines a roster of "operatives" who worked for Democratic victory in the 2006 general election. The document outlines specific tasks for various members of the state's liberal infrastructure, including a campaign to "educate the idiots," assigned to the state's AFL-CIO union. Among the operation's intended targets: "minorities, GED's, drop-outs."
